It’s been a long time! お久しぶりです！
Hello everyone! It’s been a long time!
Sorry to be away for so long.
I moved to Japan for work for two years and had no time to update this blog. However while I was away, I had received many comments, emails and feedback about this blog. Because of this blog, I even had requests from NHK wanting to interview me about Japanese restaurants.
I am deeply honoured for the publicity this blog has given me. Thanks to everyone who have kept this blog alive while I was away.
And now that I had moved back from Japan, I received many requests to re-start this blog. So here I am once again, eager to get this blog started. For a start, I have launched a new content page for all the content I have published some years ago. I have added two new sections, Japan Stories and Kuroshitsuji Musical, which I intend to update with some real content soon.
Till then, take care and enjoy my blog!

皆さん、こんにちは！お久しぶりだね！
長い間更新できなくて、ごめんね。
仕事のため、二年間ほど日本に引っ越しをしたから。
仕事が忙しくて、ブログは以前のそのままに置きっぱなしだった。
けれど、いない間に、たくさんのお問い合わせや、コメント、フィードバックなど皆さんにいただいて、感動した。
このブログのおかげで、NHKの番組でライブインタービューに参加することを誘われたこともあった。
皆さんのご声援を、本当にありがとうございました。
日本から帰国してから、またたくさんの人々に「そのブログを続けたらどう？」と提案してくれた。
だから、またやろうと決めたんだ。
始めに、以前作ったページを集まる新しい目次を作った。
その中に、新しい内容二つ入れた。「日本の話し」と「黒ミュ」です。
新しい内容をまた載せるから、またお越しくださいませ。

Trust You by 伊藤由奈
お久しぶりです！
最近はとても忙しいです。でも、今は仕事もう止めたので、暇になれると思う。最近のカラオケクラスで、伊藤由奈の「Trust You」が好きに成ったよ。今皆に分け合いたいです。
I have been very busy lately and hence unable to update this blog. However, as I have stopped my job recently in preparation for the JET Programme 2012, I hope I can have more time on my hands. It is time to shine …
最近 Dream Live 2 もう一回見た後で、この言葉を思い出して、よく覚えた。
「血の滲むような努力は、きれいな一筋の汗になる、きっとそんな汗はクリスタル、栄光を集めて虹に輝く。」
今ジェットプログラムに参加ができること、本当に今までの努力賞だと思うね。これからも、栄光を集めて虹に輝くために、頑張ります！
Recently, I watched Dream Live 2 again and I was constantly reminded of the following phrase. I remembered this phrase well.
“Our great efforts running in our blood will turn into beautiful sweat, certainly this sweat will be like a crystal. It will gather our glory and shine like a rainbow.”
Now that I have made it to the JET Programme, this phrase means more to me than ever before. I hope that I continue to shine like a rainbow through the sweat I will accumulate in this programme.
This song, entitled ‘Crystal’, was performed by the 2nd Generation cast in Prince of Tennis Musical: Dream Live 2nd, held on August 20, 2005.

Noriko Nakahara Japan Photo Exhibition 2012
今日中原龍子さんの日本写真展へ行きました。
写真が少ないですけど、いい写真なんです。
写真を見た後で、ちょっと思い出したので、ここで皆に分け合いたいんです。
Today, I visited the Japan Photo Exhibition by Ms. Noriko Nakahara, a Japanese photographer from Osaka, Japan. Although there weren’t many photographs on display, the photographs were really good. It evoked some thoughts in me, which I would like to share here.
この写真展は今から今月の三十一日までで、The Pigeonhole Cafeでします。

Let’s pray for Tohoku, one year on from 3.11.2011
一年前の今日、日本東北大津波を起こりました。
今日がもうすぐ終わりましたので、今ここで読んでいる皆さんは、一緒に東北の皆さんに祈りましょう。
死者と生還者に祈り、東北の復興が滞りなく進み、今からいろいろな挑戦を越えるように！
それが私の願いです。

One year ago on this date, the Great East Japan earthquake and tsunami took place.
As today soon comes to an end, I want to pray with everyone who is reading this post right now.
I pray for both the casualties and the survivors, for Tohoku’s reconstruction and restoration to proceed without hitches, and for Japan to overcome all odds from this moment onward.
May peace fall on Japan for the upcoming years!

3.11 Seminar on Tohoku’s Reconstruction
昨夜私はJapan Creative Centreの研究会に参加しました。
その研究会は日本東北の復興といろいろな未来の戦いについてです。
シンガポールのLee Kuan Yew School of Public Policyの学生達提出してもらいました。
その学生達が今年の二月十八日から二十六日まで、日本東北いろいろなところへ行って、東北にいながら、インフォメーションを集めて、戻った後でレポートを書いて、そしてその研究会で提出しました。その見学の目的は以下の三つです：
一、災害と復興
二、伝統と改変
三、市民社会と政府

日本東北行った学生達は全部四十人ぐらいで、二十ぐらいの国から来ました。その学生達の中に、三人が自分の感想と集めたインフォメーションを提出しました。
その研究会は殆ど去年三月十一日の災害からいろいろの災害救助についてですけど、重要のこと三つ提出されました。
一、二十一世紀日本の戦い
二、エナジーと人口動態についての挑戦
三、復興中日本人の素晴らしい気質
私はその研究会にすべていい感じをもらって、たくさん学んで、そして東北へもう一度行きたい感じを持っていさせました。

Yesterday, I attended a seminar at the Japan Creative Centre. It was a seminar where 3 students of the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy presented the information they have collected and their views on the reconstruction of Tohoku Japan after the March 11 disaster and the challenges Japan is and will face in the future. It was overall an informative and interesting seminar, and I have learnt a lot about Japan in that short one hour and a half.

東北復興写真展～明日への力～
先週の土曜日にシンガポールのJapan Creative Centreへ展覧会を見に行った。その展覧会は去年日本東北大津波の記念のためにした。「東北復興写真展～明日への力～」です。意味がたくさんあるので、皆も行ってください。
Last Saturday, I attended a photo exhibition at the Japan Creative Centre, Singapore. This photo exhibition is held as a memorial of the March 11 Great East Japan disaster which happened this time last year. The photo exhibition, entitled “Tohoku Photo Exhibition ~ Rebuilding for a Better Tomorrow ~”, is a meaningful event. If you are available, please do go and take a look at their photo exhibits.
その写真展で小学生の絵をたくさん見せられて、その絵の思いが簡単ですが、意味がたくさんあるよ。
This photo exhibition exhibits many drawings done by Japanese primary school students. Although the drawings may seem simple, they all contain wonderful meanings like the ones below.

3.11 Documentary: Japan’s children of the tsunami
一年間ぐらい前に、日本東北大津波が起こってしまった。今一年間のあとで、その災害をまだ忘れなかったね。東北で死んだ人を祈りながら、このビデオを見てください。これはBBCのドキュメンタリー「津波の子供たち」です。
About one year ago, the Great East Japan Tsunami struck. Now one year later, we have yet to forget about this devastating disaster. As we pray for the victims of this disaster, let us take some time to look at this video. This is a documentary produced by BBC, entitled “Japan’s children of the tsunami”.

もうすぐ東北の大地震の記念日
今日はなんか日記を書きたいので、書きました。日本語がまだまだなので、エラーがあったら許してください。

二千十二年三月四日（月曜日）
もうすぐ十一日です。あと七日が一年間で、日本東北大津波から。
この一年間は、私が日本に住んでいない人と速く過ぎましたが、東北の人々が悲しくて寂しい一年間を過ぎると思います。日本人の気質が強いですが、自分の親戚を死ぬことを今まだ信じられない人があると思っています。その人はこの一年間で必ず一番長くて痛い時間だと思います。いくら「頑張って」聞いても、痛みがたぶん私達考えられませんね。
二千十一年三月十一日に、日本東北大地震と大津波を起こりました。あの時をよく覚えられました。私は日本でいないんですが、ニュースを聞いてから、すぐ日本にいる友達と声をかけました。皆大丈夫と聞いてから、すこし休まりました。日本はいつも災害の準備する国です。それでも、その大地震と大津波の壊滅は、その大きなほどあって、私がビデオを見ながら、とても悲しみを感じてよく泣きました。
災害の一年前に、私は始めて一人で日本東北へ行きました。それに、自分で東北の人々の親切を経験しました。それで、その災害は私に強くて痛いインパクトがあります。あの時信じられないですが、すぐ何がしなければならないと思いました。最初はシンガポールでの大使館に、応援を上げに手紙を出しました。それから、自分の会社で募金活動を準備しました。一週間のあとで、日本での外国人のボランティアプロジェトを聞いてから、参加しました。それは「Write for Tohoku」のプロジェトです。参加する皆は東北にいる経験を書いて、本に集めて、売ってからの収益を全部日本東北の災害救助に上げました。そして、このブロぐで日本のニュースと募金活動のニュースをよく書きました。読んだ施した皆をどうもありがとうございました。
日本から友達や先生などあるので、日本人から多い親切がもらったので、この一年間で日本を祈りました。去年の八月天理教の学校に転校してから、天理教の礼拝を参加しながら、日本の皆の安全を祈りました。私はいつか日本東北へ戻りたくて、東北の以前の美をもう一度見たいです。
日本東北の大地震と大津波はとても残念な事ですが、不可避な事です。今でも関係当事者の痛みがまだ終わらないと思います。ですから最後に、その災害で覚えられてそして学べる事は日本人の強さと回復力です。他の事について、私達はできれば助けて、ずっと「頑張って！」日本の皆に励まそうと思っています。

日本伝統的な節を 勉強した！
昨日は私が天理教日本語学校で伝統的な節のクラスを全部終わった。
このクラスで楽しいことを分け合いたいんです！
伝統的な節のクラスは四つで、お月見とお正月とひな祭り夏祭りとを勉強した。
The Japanese traditional events course at Tenrikyo Mission Centre Singapore, ended yesterday. It was a most interesting and enjoyable course. Consisting of four lessons, I learnt about the activities surrounding five different Japanese festive events – Lantern Festival, New Year’s Day, Girls’ Festival, Boys’ Day Celebration and Summer Festival.
Here’s sharing with everyone some basic information that I have learnt.

お月見 Moon Viewing
何の為に？豊作を願う。
Purpose? Praying for abundant harvests of ripened rice.
何時？毎年の十五夜（8月15日）か十三夜（9月13日）
When? August 15 or September 13
何をする？月で兔が餅つき
Activities? Mochi pounding by the moon
何を食べる？薄、月見団子、里芋、葡萄、栗、豆
Food? Japanese pampas grass ‘susuki’ (for prevention from illness for the whole year), sweet dumplings, yam, grapes, chestnut and beans.
何の作品？俳句
Works? Japanese poems that follow a 5-7-5 syllabic structure.
このクラスで自分の俳句も作った。
In this class, I also had the chance of making of my own Japanese poem.
「夢の道 日本語習って 開こうよ。」
Translated, it reads “Let’s open the path to our dreams with the learning of Japanese.”

お正月お祝おう！Celebrating the New Year!
皆、明けましておめでとうございます！
Happy New Year everyone!
今日僕はシンガポール天理教の新年子供パーティへ行った。たくさん日本お正月の文化習った。
Today, I attended the Tenrikyo New Year Service and Children’s Party, and learnt many new customs of Japanese culture.
最初は、お正月食べるお節料理初めて見て、そして食べた。うまいと思うね。
Firstly, I saw for the first time, special Japanese food made only on the Japanese New Year, which is celebrated annually on 1st of January, unlike the New Year for the Chinese.

Here comes the new year 2012! Here I would like to wish each and everyone of you an amazing time in this new year. Thank you for your support for my blog, and please continue to give me the support like always!

How is everyone?
I am good. Although work is a little busier than before, I may not update this blog as often as last year. I have just started a new job last week, as a lecturer in an international school, paving my way towards a future career in teaching in Japan (hopefully! *cross my fingers*). I like my current job very much, though students can be handful at times. But I will work hard in my job, and hope everyone will do well in their work too~!
My new year resolution for myself would be for things to remain the way they are now, as I am contented with what I have been given at this moment. Now is the time for me to work hard and excel at my job, save up money for a trip to Japan hopefully sometime next year.
And to Japan, I hope 2012 will be a better and safer year for everyone in Japan. I would like to wish them peace and blessings for the next year, to recover, move forward and excel.
And to everyone reading this, I hope your 2012 will be much much better than 2011, filled with warmth from your family and friends, joy and may everything good come you way.

あの花とSecret Base 君がくれたものが、好きじゃん～！
最近はアニメを少し見た。
そのアニメの中で、すごく涙ぐしくいアニメを見たから、皆と分け合いたいです。
アニメの名前は、「あの日見た花の名前を僕達まだ知らない」です。
日本で今年の四月から六月までテレビで見られた。
このアニメの話し：
たくさん年間前に、超平和バスターズの中で、メンバーの一人めんまを死んだ。
あの時から、超平和バスターズの子供達がそろそろ大きくなってけど、いつも過去のことを忘れなかった。
いつかの夏に、めんまが仁太の前に現れた。願いが一つまだ果たさないですから。
でも、めんまはその願いがどんな願いを忘れた。仁太はめんまの願いを果たすために、超平和バスターズの皆を探さなきゃ、その願いを探して、一緒に果たそう。
僕が大好きです、そのアニメは。皆も見てね。
そして、アニメの主題歌もおもしろいです。名前は「Secret Base 君がくれたもの」です。
二千一年のとき、ZONE もう歌った。
今年のアニメを作るために、アニメの声優たちがそのソングをカバーした。

黒執事ミュジカル、素敵なぁ!
最近「黒執事ミュジカル」見た。素敵だと思うね。
黒ミュ一：「その執事、友好」で阪本奨悟さんがちょっと特別の声を持っていて、
シエルファントムハイヴが若くなくなるけど、すごいパフォーマンスだと思う。
でも、阪本奨悟さんの歌う部分がちょっと少ないんです。
残念ですね。
黒ミュ二：「ザ・モースト・ビューティフル・デス・イン・ザ・ワールド〜千の魂と堕ちた死神」は黒ミュ一より素晴らしいです。
ダンスの振り付けとか、作曲とか、舞台衣装とか、色々なこと素晴らしい作った。
シエルファントムハイヴ役の西井幸人さんが高いピッチが歌えることが吃驚した。
そして、西井幸人さんはドレスを着る時も可愛いね。本当に女のように見えたね。
最後のダンスも可愛そう。
それに、松下優也さんの声が黒ミュに最高です。
特に「彼方へ」と「Checkmate」素晴らしくて、大好きです。
英語が分からない松下優也さんのは、英語で歌うことがか簡単じゃないですから。
じゃ、この二つ歌が一緒に聞こう。

JCC: Tanabata Talk & Workshop
皆、おはよう！
久しぶりだなぁ、皆元気？
じゃ、本日が意味があるイベントを一つ知らせるね。
七夕に就いて講義がある。JCCに作られた講義です。そして、この講義でたなばたを書くこともできる。この書いたたなばたを日本東北の災害地に来年の七夕祭りに出す。とても意味がいいでしょうね！
Hello everyone, how have you been?
Sorry, I haven’t been posting much stuff lately; work and studies have been pretty busy. Anyway, I want to share with everyone a meaningful event that is coming up. It is organised by the Japan Creative Centre in Singapore, and is a talk and workshop on Tanabata. Attendees will be able to write their words of wishes, which will be collected and sent to the affected areas in Tohoku for the Tanabata Festival next summer!
How cool is that? You can finally make your words of encouragement known to the people in Japan!

「素直になれなくて」涙ぐましい！
僕は最近新しいドラマを見ているね。「素直になれなくて」で、２０１０年のドラマだ。
テニスの王子様ミュジカルでの阪本奨悟見上げて、阪本奨悟がいるドラマの為に見たんです。
でも、このドラマは凄くて、麗しい情景がたくさんですよね。本当に涙ぐましいです。
僕はとても楽しいじゃん！皆も見てよ！

Recently, I have started watching the 2010 drama “Sunao ni Narenakute” or “Hard to say I love you”, starring Eita and Ueno Juri as the main artistes.
In the story, Nakajima looks up to his father, who was a war photographer, but can only get a job as an assistant for gravure magazines. Mizuno is a provisional high school teacher, currently on probation. Nishimura is Mizuno’s best friend, whose boyfriend has been avoiding her since she discovered she was pregnant. Ichihara works at a magazine where he is being blackmailed into sexual favours by his chief editor. Park, on Twitter, takes on the persona of a doctor, when he is actually working at a company that sells medical equipment to disinterested doctors, and at the same time, trying to take care of his younger sister.
This is a story about the blossoming friendship of five young people who were brought together by Twitter, and their journey to finding honesty with each other and with themselves. (Source: Wiki.d-addicts)

最近の思い。。。
ねえ、久しぶりだなあ。。。
皆元気？来ない時が長いんだが、ごめね。
最近僕は気が重くて、ちょっと困ったです。
皆「何を困った？」って聞いたら、僕は「さあ。。。」って答えるかな～
色々なことなんです。
僕の仕事は楽しくないし、おもしろくないし、それで僕は嬉しくないですから。
手ごわい会社の人とか、無理な会社の施策とか、色々な嫌いなものです。
そして、家族と悪い繋がりに成ったんです。大変ですね。

Gantz 2: Perfect Answer を見た！
先週僕はガンツ２を見た。だから、今皆と感想を分け合う。えと、ガンツ２はガンツ１よりもっと楽しかったですけど、内容がちょっと重いですよ。よく風の吹き回しなんです。意外の事件がたくさんあるんですね。ガンツ１からの大切な人々（二宮和也や、本郷奏多や、松山ケンイチなどなど）はガンツ２にあるです。そして、映画を始める前に、ガンツ１の画面を見せるね。いいと思っているよ。
ガンツ２のぺースはガンツ１よりもっと速くて、惨いですね。殆ど人物を死んで、次々は。僕は怖いと思わないですけど、ちょっと見苦しいですね。でも、惨い画面を除いて、ガンツ２はとてもいいスリラー映画だと思っているね。皆も見なければならないよ！

夏祭り2011は とても楽しかった！
今晩は皆。先々週週の土曜日に僕は友達とシンガポールの夏祭りへ行った。僕の初回なんですが、とても楽しみにしたね。夏祭りは全く楽しかったですよ！凄く嬉しいなあ。。。だから、僕はここで皆と夏祭りの経験と感想を分け合う！
Evening everyone. How have you been? Last last Saturday (Aug 20,2011), my friends and I went to the Japanese Summer Festival held at the Singapore Japanese School (Changi Campus). It was a most wonderful experience, and I really enjoyed it very much. Hence I would like to share with everyone my experiences and thoughts on this amazing event. Due to special requests by friends to blog this in English, I shall do so for this post. 😀
Prior to going for the Summer Festival (or ‘Natsu Matsuri’ in Japanese), my friends and I heard from many people that the queue for the tickets are usually horribly long. Some even said that the queue usually starts very early in the day, and some even camped overnight outside the event premises. Horrified, my friends and I decided to set off at 11am on the day of the event, and start queuing until the event begins at 5pm.
